Hazel enters a housekeeping contest, but things don’t turn out the way she expected. S4, Ep Hazel sells a neighbor’s house to Harry Noll and his new bride, much to George’s dismay. On Thanksgiving, Hazel must hold her tongue when the Baxters host a foreign diplomat. Hazel and Dorothy scheme to get George to remodel the kitchen. Harry Noll and his new bride Rita move next door to the Baxters and Hazel has to mediate their first fight.

After George’s sister Deirdre has a fight with her husband, Hazel sneaks into a men’s club get the couple back together. George becomes a scrooge when he refuses to give in to the commercialism of Christmas. Hazel misplaces Tony Lema 's prized golf clubs. Harold trades his prized football for a date to the school party. Hazel must contend with George’s client, a hot tempered Italian woman. Havoc breaks out when Hazel buys George a winning sweepstakes ticket for his birthday.

George Baxter blames a ham radio operator for his television reception problems until Hazel provides a solution. George’s client, Mr. Egan, is convinced his office is being bugged by a competitor. Hazel is arrested for painting a crosswalk on a street; ending up on the 'hot seat’ at court. It certainly would be better than anything that is put on television today. As a child, I remember loving this show, along with the other classics of the late s and s.

Although too young to remember some of them, I was old enough to remember Hazel. The family consists of „Mr. B” the attorney and head of the family, although if truth be known, I always felt Hazel was the one in charge. Missy, George’s wife, has known Hazel since she was a child and is the perfect complement to her husband. An interior decorator with excellent taste, she and Hazel have a very loving relationship and Missy can be counted on to run interference when Hazel and Mr.

B butt heads. Then there is the adorable Harold, better known as „Sport,” who is such a sweet little boy who worships Hazel and considers her a hero. The acting is superb and the storylines are anything but sappy. This series proves that wholesome programs have a place in society and with it, there is always a valuable lesson to be learned.

And while all of them are no longer with us, it is comforting that their brilliance is on record and the days when the simple things were the best can truly live on! I love this show even though it was on when I was a very little girl. Somehow it was embedded into my memory.

When I watch Hazel it makes all bad things of this crazy world go away for awhile. I have even used my Hazel dvd’s to fall asleep at night.

There’s no cursing, no sexual inuendos, just goodness, laughter, hearttouching moments and joy. This dvd set arrived in A 1 condition and on time. I can’t order all of the time or a bunch at a time so I’m not able to take advantage of the free shipping. I’ve been ordering for a long time and feel that I should receive some special consideration. Thank you. It’s a fun trip back in time.. Hazel will always be a favorite. Here’s hoping that season five isn’t too far away. Despite the fact that the prints aren’t as high quality as we’ve become accustomed to on so many releases, I still go with 5 stars for the show and the fine efforts of Shout Factory.

I certainly enjoyed it. Great to see old tv shows as it brings back do many wonderful memories. Wish there were more tv shoes from 50s- 70s at reasonable prices in Canada. One person found this helpful. Hazel was one of the funniest shows on television and it is too bad there are not shows on today like this show which every member of the family could watch as there was no bad language or sexual innuendo.

It is Hazel as we know her. It is Hazel as we know her, opiniated. It is the last season with the original actors and they have that chemistry that makes us enjoy watching the episodes.
